Frequently Asked Questions & Statutory Framework

Official RBI rules governing failed reversals, credit cards, and property title deed returns.

How does the ₹100/day compensation for failed UPI/ATM work?

Under RBI Circular DPSS.CO.PD No.243/02.14.003/2019-20, banks have T+1 day for UPI/IMPS and T+5 days for ATM cash retract failures. If this window is exceeded, the bank is legally required to credit ₹100 for each delayed day directly to your account.

What if my bank delays credit card closure beyond 7 days?

According to RBI Master Direction RBI/2022-23/29 Chapter VI Para 8(d), card issuers must honor closure requests within 7 working days once dues are paid. Failure to do so leads to a statutory penalty of ₹500 per day payable to the cardholder.

What is the ₹5,000/day property document release rule?

Under RBI Direction RBI/2023-24/60, all regulated lenders (Banks, HFCs, NBFCs) must release original movable/immovable title deeds within 30 calendar days of full repayment. Delays beyond 30 days mandate compensation of ₹5,000 per day.

Is my banking statement safe and private?

Yes. RBI ClaimPay executes entirely client-side using in-browser Web Workers and Web Crypto APIs. Your bank statement is never transmitted over the internet or stored on an external server.
